Those who don't care enough to OCR and vectorise their scans won't use it. The scans are typically part of bulk uploads by people who aren't looking at what they upload.

For those few who do, they can already leave a comment against the book once it is visible in 'My Uploads'.

It is difficult and expensive to do this automatically in our volume. manually, as you have already been told above, few people mark such information in the description.
You can also evaluate the quality of the file through online reading.

As an aside, I have sorta tested this. Sometimes I can't get a scan to quite look like it was a native text. The original text too faded, too many scuff marks to have vectorising and optimisation smooth out, uneven lighting issues I can't balance et al. In these cases I've often left a note for the moderator letting them know where the difficult sections of the book are, and why they're still there. So the mod can find them and take them into account when modding the book, asking them to delete these notes when done.

To date the 'please delete this when read' has made it through moderation 100% of the time, and I have zero evidence they're being read, as the star value the books get does not match the quality of the iffy sections. Indicating the description is not being read.

So, adding another flag for the moderators to check, seems pointless whilst we're still not sure they're checking the ones they already have access to.
