Requesting books
Could we continue requesting books here?
Re: Requesting books
The best way to create a Book Request is on the website. Here, you can ask users to check their personal libraries to see if anyone has the file you need.
Re: Requesting books
On the site itself, the book request will keep checking, automatically, as new books are added for a period of six months after you make the request.
If you make one here, you require the good will of another user to type your query into search to look for it periodically - just as you could be doing, yourself.
Which sounds more likely to work?

Re: Requesting books
I posted requests that existed there for months. So the books were never found. I don't mind.

So? If the book does not exist - a request here within the forum won't change that.
Re: Requesting books
As Neo says really, with the reminder that far more people see the book requests on the website. If you don't find that someone can supply it within six months (when the book request times out) it doesn't mean they never will. You can recreate it as many times as you desire.Book Collector wrote: 05 Apr 2026, 21:10 I posted requests that existed there for months. So the books were never found. I don't mind.
The website checks every new book uploaded against that list, at time of upload. So you'll be notified the moment it is there. A request here...does not do any of that.
